If you wanna wither up and die, this isn't for you.

Morning! Well, its morning here in the UK... Just. So... Good day!

I was reading through some of the stuff I've written about last night and came across one part of one post (cant remember which) where I'd mentioned about the Holy Spirit and said "Yeah, I'll post about that sometime." Well, here's that post =]

I'll keep it real simple and easy reading, as best I can anyways, cos this is a HUGE topic.

here goes.......

Ever seen Thor? The film which came out last year. Its one of my favourite films... I absolutely LOVE it. I think its got pretty much everything you need in a film. Its basically a film about a superhero... Who has this hammer which makes him freakin BADASS! He beats everyone with this hammer, nobody can lift it up or hold it or use it or anything, only he can use it, and when he does use it, he wins.

Cool clip.

Basically, Thor loses his hammer and becomes useless, just a normal man unable to do the stuff he did before... He loses his source of power.

The Holy Spirit to a Christian is as and more important than the hammer was to Thor. The hammer brought victory, status, strength, power, he needed it to succeed. The same applies to a Christian, you need the Holy Spirit to conquer, live, overcome, succeed.

The Holy Spirit is not some afterthought created by God which becomes an optional part time experience we can dip into once in a while, if we feel like it. If you reject the Holy Spirit, you are rejecting God himself. You are trying to pick and choose qualities of God you'd like for yourself, and I gotta tell you... Its all or nothing.

Whether you like the thought or not, the Holy Spirit is inside of you if you've become a Christian. As soon as you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit moves in and makes himself at home in you. Proof? The joy you experience when you realize Jesus saved you, that's the Holy Spirit, the conviction you feel when doing something you shouldn't do... That's the Holy Spirit. He's there, and He makes himself known.

"What use is the Holy Spirit in me? What do I do with it?"

Well, ha, this is where you either get woken up again or you come into a realization of something great... The Holy Spirit is put in you for you to stand in authority and power and love with the Father. God himself is inside of you... Now think of things God is... Love, kindness, power, patience, peace, victorious, strong, mighty, glorious... there's just a few... You have these things inside of you. They are accessible and at your disposal. What're you waiting for?

The Holy Spirit is ignored and pushed down way too much... Basically, He is like a roaring lion, dying to be let out the cage. DON'T PUT A LEASH ON HIM, DON'T KEEP HIM LOCKED UP. The main purpose of the Holy Spirit is to move and destroy works of the Devil, and He does that through us. If you're not letting him move, you're giving the devil the upper hand and going against your nature.

"How do I use Him, or how does He use me?"

You ask Him. He's ALWAYS ready for action, NEVER a dull moment. He has EVERY situation covered and ready. But remember to listen to Him. He will direct you and speak to you. Listen carefully, get used to His voice and be familiar with it. The more in tune with the Spirit you are, the louder the devil is gonna shout to drown him out.
He uses you which ever way you wish to be used, and to the degree you want to be used...
If you just want to heal a person every now and again, He'll do that. If you wanna pop into the funeral home and raise some dead people, He's game. BUT only if He tells you that's what He wants to do.
You will not be able to do things on your own. Like Thor was useless without the hammer, Christians posses no power or authority without the Holy Spirit.

As you ask Him to start using you, you get used to how He will begin to work. I'm not saying to base your experience on this, but there are often physical keys which signal the Spirit is doing something... For me, my heart rate shoots up, stupidly fast, I go red hot no matter how cold the room is, my palms sweat and adrenaline comes out of nowhere. He's getting me ready for action. For other people, hands may tingle, they may see something, they may feel a pain that isn't theirs but someone else's and have to search for them. Its very personal, the Holy Spirit knows what you'll respond to.

Oh, He's not scary. At all. SO MUCH FUN! Seriously, the best times I've had are when I've been super tuned into the Spirit and just rolling with what He wants to do. He's a person of God the Father, holding the Father spirit, the teaching spirit, the comforting spirit, yet possessing every bit of the fighting spirit, the furious hatred of the things holding back his children, the desire for love to conquer... You have the full arsenal of God's tools inside you. The Holy Spirit is the equipping EVERY Christian needs, its a necessity, you NEED Him. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you wanna wither up and run dry as a Christian, then you don't need to listen to the Holy Spirit. But, for those who want to live in the presence, see miracles, change the world, live a life full of experiences which are beyond your imagination, be victorious, and just have the greatest roller coaster life ride of all time... LISTEN. Get used to His voice. Chat with Him when you're not talking to anyone else. Team up and win. Its where the best experiences lie.

Listen up!

CHIN UP KID!

Alright people!

Hope you're all well and having a good day, you look lovely by the way.

You're awesome. You really are, how do I know? Cos that's the way you were made. Seriously... The way you were made wasn't an accident or an error, you were made that way and the way you are is awesome... Just believe me =]

Positivity gets you a long way. Negativity gets you nowhere. You'd rather have a friend who is happy and up for stuff rather than a friend who always says 'Naaah' and critisizes everything you do, right? If you say no, then you're probably that negative friend... Just a heads up ;)

Being positive about stuff WILL change your life. I know. I realize this post can sound really cheesy with the whole 'Hey, be happy, always look on the bright side!' and ignore that fact that we all go through struggles and pains... but hear me out, its about how you react to struggles and pains that determine the outcome.

To start with, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand and believe that you are incredible. Honestly. If God is jealous FOR YOU, you must be someone pretty flippin' special. If at your lowest point, covered in filth, telling God to get lost, He pointed at you and demanded "I've got to have them. I want THEM." Then you, Sir/Madam are just AMAZING. You always have been, always will be. Its who you are, TRUE STORY. Trust me on this ;)

"I cannot afford to have a thought in my head about me that is not in his."

Once you believe and understand how significant and valuable you are, you'll realize something which has the potential to quite literally make your mind pop.

You can have authority over situations, simply by declaring a positive word over them... I dare you to try it... If you have exams, I dare you to walk in and simply say to it... "I've passed this. Exam, you're mine." I did just that, came out with 10 GCSE's, 4 AS Levels, 3 A levels. Not bad for a guy who barely showed up for school. If you work, if your work is target driven... I dare you to walk into the office or the field in the morning and say... "I'm gonna meet these targets this week, not only that, I'm gonna get more than should be possible.", Seriously, I dare you to try this and see what happens.

Its such a simple thing to do.. Positive mindset... You can accomplish anything. Its called optimism.

"Yeah, but, my situation is really bad... There's just no way out, its really difficult and its all going wrong..." CHIN UP KID... We all go through crappy things, its what makes us stronger, but you face it... you bring success out of each situation... You reverse what you see, so... now you have "Yeah, my situation looks bad, but I'm gonna conquer it, there's a way out, I'm gonna find it or make one, its not too hard for me, I can do this... I will win.". Its like having your own personal motivational coach/speaker in your head...

I challenge you to switch off and KILL the negative mindset, it doesn't help anyone... Nobody likes it, it has no friends. Turn on the positivity, start thinking like a champion...

And...

Go get 'em tiger! ;)

Always in a dream world. Time to wake up?

I love dreaming... Absolutely LOVE losing myself in a dream world. Ask my close friends, I'm always talking about things which are from this dream world I live in. Most being unrealistic...

But, we all have dreams... of varying degrees... Some people dream of having full health, a new car, an ordinary life, millions of pounds, 10 cars and a mansion in LA, a wife and kids, being a genius, finding the cure to cancer etc... Dreams are very personal to us and reveal what our desires really are.

All too often peoples dreams are just left and the back of the mind to have a bit of fun thinking about every so often... The person has convinced themselves that their dream is too unrealistic to come true, its too much to ask for and work for, and worst of all, which is something I HATE... is when other people tell you that your dreams will never come true, just because theirs didn't. Its like... "S'cuse me, I don't want you speaking failure over me... now go away." Fortunately, my parents have always being very supportive of me when I told them my dreams. They are big... very big... here's a brief thing on my dreams...

I dream of being a professional drummer, influencing the music industry with the band I'm part of. The influence would be of good things... such as identity, who you are called to be, how to live in the light and reality of how you were made... stuff like that. This would be my income too aha.
Honestly, and don't judge me... I dream of having lots of money. lots. I dream of being able to provide for my family, never having the worry of running out of money, and the thing I'm most looking forward to is being able to bless people with money. I'm the kinda person to give what I have... If I have some cash, I'll give it to you if you need it. On my do-before-die list, I have these 2 points... "Make 1 million pounds... Give away over 2 million pounds." That is my dream. Give to people. GIVE. not lend. GIVE. I love just thinking about the little details of my dream life... like... what my kitchen would look like haha!

But yeah, that's the big picture of my dream... to drum, have a family, provide, make money and give it away.

I wanna encourage you to dream. Dream BIG. I mean, huge. Don't be embarrased or ashamed to say you dream of having millions of pounds and a mansion... If that's what you dream of having, that's absolutely FINE!!

The idea of this post is about talking to God about our dreams... Something which has been on my heart for years if I'm honest.

God is often seen as a resort to go to when life is going wrong and he fixes it all for us... When we need something we ask God to sort it, when we're broken we ask God to fix us up... He's the quick fix go-to man for our troubles... But, I don't think that's just what he's for... He LOVES LOVES LOVES it when his children come to him to talk!

My parents love it when I talk about my future, about being a touring, worldwide drummer, when I tell them about wanting children one day and making a home for them like they made for me and my brothers... They love to know that their child has ambitions and dreams and a passion to pursue them... Now, they're my biological, earthly parents who love me and care for me and show an interest in my dreams, surely, our heavenly Father who created us in his image cares about what we dream about... He's the one that put desires in our heart to start with! I'm convinced he loves to hear about how they've developed and grown inside of us! He's a God dedicated to making his children successful.

God wants to hear about what you want. Its like at Christmas or a birthday, you wanna get something the thing they want, the present they've been thinking about, you get a sense of satisfaction from providing them with the thing they've been after! Its exactly the same with our Father... He wants to know what you want so he can give it to you. Obviously God knows our dreams, well, they're HIS DREAMS PUT IN OUR HEARTS... (wow, thats huge.) but he wants to hear us tell him what they consist of, he wants to hear our passion for them and our eagerness to make them become a reality. Why keep your dreams secret from God? That's when they wither and die, they've been put in an air tight box and left to suffocate. The person then has nothing to go for, no drive, no ambition... and they then feel the need to take down other peoples dreams.

You're created to make a difference, be significant and thrive.
Don't compare your dreams to other peoples. Please don't feel intimidated by my dream and its size... a dream to save 3 people in your workplace is just as great as the dream to see 1,000,000 saved at a revival. A dream to have a family who all serve God is just as great as the dream to plant churches in Africa and save villages. You have the certain desire on your heart for a reason. It will blossom and become a weight you need to do something about... you'll feel the need to make it a reality.

Dreams are God given... So, get in the mindset of dreaming big, dreaming about what you want, what you wanna do and see, where you wanna go and share it with your Father... I can assure you he'll be delighted to hear what you have to say. And then, just like a Father with send you on your way with the tools and knowledge of how to make it!

Speaking from experience...

Happy new year and all that stuff...

This is a bit of stuff about what I'm just coming out of... Its personal but I've left out some stuff you don't need to know, just hear what I'm saying here... It'll save your life. Literally.

I honestly didn't have the best start to the year, don't get me wrong, the new years party and company was top notch... I loved that, but with regards to my relationship with God... it wasn't great.

I kinda went through a patch of feeling left out, forgotten and ignored... a problem that many people go through with their relationship with God. Me feeling this way lead to me being very negative about EVERYTHING. I was just a moody guy with a foul temper for a bit... something I've battled to leave behind.

But, in all honesty, I was annoyed at God. I couldn't see a clear direction my life was going in and personally, I find that very frustrating.. I like plans and knowing what's coming... so my thoughts were 'Well, God knows that I need to know what's going on... Why is he not telling me? This isn't fair.' I chose to try and figure things out on my own rather than seeking God, which I've done about 3 times before... it doesn't work.

I had about had it with Church... I got bored and all meh about it, didn't find any stimulation or excitement there anymore... Then I realized something...

At Kings (the building where part of the Church meets) we have had some quite hyped up meetings of just excitement and craziness... It gets everyone going and on a high, but then you wake up the next morning with the challenges of life there waiting for you at the door... money, jobs, finding a job, relationships - whatever your challenges are - and the high you were on when you went to sleep from the meeting has gone. That's where I began to lose it... I relied on the fumes of excitement to keep my relationship with God going and fresh, the fumes run out and disperse... You cannot build a relationship on the excitement of a meeting once a week.
Its like trying to have a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with someone who you see for 2 hours a week and speak to for only those 2 hours... It will break up and end.

The trick is to have an intimate relationship with God on a daily basis, every hour of the day living in His presence not a hyper fling once a week on some mad ride. The excitement is continual once you enter into the deeper parts of God, seeing and hearing new things...

Just one of the lessons I've learnt recently... speaking from experience...

Bigger, sorer, infected and then death... naaaasty.

Technology always breaks on me... whatever it is, laptop, phone, ipod, tv... anything modern and technological, don't let me borrow it, it won't come back working properly.
Funny story:
In college, 3 years ago, we use smartboards as most places do... One day, it stopped working in class and the teacher couldn't figure out what was up with it... so she went out the room to get a technician... I followed as I needed the toilet... as I left, the class shouted the teacher back in as the board began working again, so she stayed, I continued my toilet trek. I came back to the classroom... 2 minutes in, the board went again. Now, by this time I know that me and technology don't get on very well, so I decided to test something... I went outside the classroom... the board worked... I came back in... the board broke... I left, it worked, I came back, it broke... WHAT THE HECK!? How is that even possible?? Its a good job I'm good at English Language otherwise that could have been an important lesson I sabotaged.
So yeah, don't let me near your electronic things.

This blog is on brokenness. In all honesty, this is an area I don't really know much about... God is gonna speak a lot here cos I don't have much to say myself...

People are fragile things... We have feelings and emotions which can make or break a day, month, year etc. Other people have the power to make us feel great, or crappy... Music can change your mood in a second, food can, laughing actually makes your immune system work better... We are very complex, fragile beings... easy to break but very hard to fix. Not impossible, just very hard.

Brokenness to different people mean different things... I tend to see it as being in a state that is not in line with how you are meant to be.

Brokenness hurts. The most obvious and common type of brokenness seems to be heartbreak... those who have experienced it will be able to say it hurts a heck of a lot, takes a LONG time to heal and wouldn't wish it upon anyone. If you haven't experienced it, GOOD.. I pray you never have to. A broken bone hurts, the nerves around that area are just screaming PAIIIIIN and sending it to your brain... whatever way you look at it, being broken is not a good thing...

God loves fixing things. And He's dam good at it.
My brother fixes cars for a living, he's dam good at it. At the age of 18 he was the number 1 mechanic in the UK, being head hunted by companies such as BMW, Audi, Merc, Ferrari, Lambo and even an F1 team. He is VERY good at what he does. He knows exactly what the car needs doing to get it back to a fully functioning car very quickly.
God fixes people, He's dam good at it. From beginning to end He has been the best at fixing people, being called upon in times of need, and when people just need to feel loved and appreciated. He is VERY good at what He does. He knows exactly what the person needs and gives them it, in a package wrapped in love.
See what I did there? Clever me.

God is a fixer... He knows what we need and when we need it. Brokenness is not something He cannot handle... Jesus was beaten, bruised and BROKEN on his way to the cross... He nailed brokenness to the cross and that is where it stayed. It didn't follow him up to heaven to be a burden that He couldn't shake off... He beat it. Jesus beat brokenness, for you. The reason we can be healed of brokenness and fixed is because Jesus made sure we could be.

Whether your brokenness is heartbreak, a bad upbringing, bad family life, trouble psychologically, emotionally, physically, you do not have to keep it. God has intentions... For you to be fully functioning living in the fullness of His love... Where nothing ever breaks...

God will and wants to fix you. I know I keep saying this...

The key verse that sums all this up is Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Well, that's all I need to believe that God wants to fix... He said it himself... "I am near to the broken hearted and I will save the crushed in spirit" and He does that out of love for you.

I said at the beginning... Its easy to get broken, but very hard to fix... Yeah, we can't fix it... We search for things to fix ourselves... We'll use the wrong tools, the wrong parts and just make it worse... I had a BB gun... it got jammed and wouldn't shoot anymore... I thought I could fix it so busted out my screwdrivers to open it up and sort it... Half an hour later, my BB gun was in about 30 bits, a spring had flown across the room and I was now more focussed on putting it back together rather than solving the initial problem... We can't fix ourselves. God has to... He knows us better than we know ourselves. He has the right tools, the right parts and knows how to use them skillfully.

It takes bravery to let someone to work on your brokenness, you have to really trust that person to let them in and help... Who better to trust than your Father who will not get anything wrong, use the wrong tool or part... It'll be sore to have someone tend to your wound, your brokenness, but pain comes in the night, but joy comes in the morning. The pain is the weakness leaving the body... Satan wants to keep you broken, thats his way in... the cracks in your soul and body are where he puts his nasty fingers and holds on... He'll then chip away making the wound bigger, sorer, infected and eventually big enough to kill you.... God will protect the wound from infection during the healing process, he'll not only tend to the wound but just go over every part of your mind and soul to ensure perfect, glorious working order.

I think that's all I have to write...

Don't live with brokenness when there's a fixer just waiting to put you back together. He is more than willing.

Trust Him.

"I hate you and I want to kill you!"

Before we start, if there are words with the letter 'D' missing its because its having a mood today and refusing to work properly.

Heavy title, I know. But this is gonna hopefully be an eye opening blog...

My favourite cartoons are Tom an Jerry and Wil E Coyote and roadrunner... I just love them. Old school cartoons are the best ones. Basically, all that happens is either Tom or Wil E Coyote will do anything and everything to kill Jerry or Roadrunner. They'll set up traps, trick them, con them, chase them, throw things, make fake female versions of them to attract them which is always a bomb, aaanything... the two predators are only focussed on one thing... Kill.

The whole idea of something wanting to kill something else so badly is scarily real. This is what we are all involved in...

If God is love, life, happiness... the great things about life, then surely at the opposite end of the scale there is hatred, death and sorrow, logical right? yeah. Well, those things are characteristics of the fallen angel we call Satan/Lucifer/the Devil. He doesn't really deal in the positive... its not his thing...

The devil wants to kill you. He HATES God, you, Jesus, Christians, the Church, the Holy Spirit, positivity, freedom, forgiveness, health... He HATES IT. And, like Tom and Wil E Coyote will do anything he can to kill those things. Be aware... The devil walks and prowls around like a roaring lion, just waiting for someone to devour... (1 Peter 8:5)

He doesn't like you... Satan does not like anyone, not even the people who worship him, he wishes they would die. You are made in the image of God, the beautiful, glorious image of God... carrying life giving light, Satan wants you to go dim, to get dirty, and tries to convince you that you are ugly. He's the father of lies... He'll lie so much he'll contradict his own lies.

Which one do you want to be with; The Father of lights of the Father of lies?

If someone is trying to attack or kill you, your body has 2 responses... fight or flight. Any guys reading this will be like 'oh yeah, i'd fight back.' (we'll get around to that). Basically, physically, your body is fuelled with adrenaline as soon as a stressful situation is at hand (being attacked etc) and that either makes you lash out and fight off the attacker, or you will run and due to adrenaline being pumped around your body like its going out of fashion, you will be able to run pretty dam fast. The body is pretty clever. The same thing applies with when the devil is trying to kill you and attacking you... you have two choices... fight or flight. You know what you need to do in each situation...

Fighting: Fighting takes energy. A lot of it. If you've ever play fought you will know how much energy it takes outta you... only last night I was in battle with 3 of my best friends involving 2 sofa's about 20 cushions and a water bottle... after roughly 15 minutes we were exhausted. We'd raised the temperature in the room by like double. We were shattered. Fighting requires lots of strength, determination, and the guts to finish what you started.

(James 4:7) Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
Sometimes you have to fight to get victory over certain things, you can't always run away. What do you fight with? Its the devil, he's not standing in front of you, you can't just pick up a weapon and kill him... Lifting weights an bench pressing to get massive arms isn't gonna help you fight Satan... Nope, Jesus is... Jesus is the best fighter I know, he won EVERY fight he had... (he wasn't a brawler, he fought smart...) Jesus stood on the promises of the Father and the truth... He used his words as weapons against Satan. Remember, Satan is the Father of LIES, meaning the TRUTH is an opposition. You are to fight with the weapons Jesus provided you with... the Sword of the spirit. You need to be ready for a fight... in the right attire... Ephesians 6 is your wardrobe. Helmet of Salvation. Breastplate of Righteousness. Belt of Truth. Boots of Peace. Shield of Faith. Sword of the Spirit. Get it on. DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY FORM OF WARFARE IF YOU AREN'T DRESSED PROPERLY. YOU WILL GET BEATEN. We're not always called to fight though... sometimes... we gotta...

Flight: first of all... Guys; Running away from a fight is not losing. Don't let anything else convince you otherwise. "It takes a real man to walk away from a fight." is a saying I grew up on, due to being bullied I was often in confrontations at school... The guys were always bigger than me, I knew that I'd come out worse if I threw a punch so I used my common sense, the brain God gave me, and walked away. Keeping my dignity, my respect an my face in tact. Oh, girls aren't usually impressed by guys fighting... just sayin...
AAANYWAYSS.... Running away from Satan is not something the weak ones of the bunch do, God has provided a way of escape in every situation the devil brings your way... God is sometimes calling you to run... He's shouting "RUN RUN RUN!" He knows whats best for you, so just do it.

Once Satan is in your face shouting "I'm gonna kill you, this is the end of you, God doesn't love you, you aren't really saved!" you have the choice of believing him (don't do that, seriously, don't. You are far too amazing and wonderful to have any lie like that anywhere near you) or you can turn around, turn your face up and speak to your Father.. "Dad... that bully is getting at me again. Can you sort him out please? Can I stand behind you and you take him on?" The answer will be YES. Because thats how great our father is. Watch Satan shake as your Fathers light penetrates the cold darkness.

(Romans 16:20) The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of
our Lord Jesus be with you

Fight or flight. You know what you need to do in each one. Don't worry that if you start a fight you're stuck in there... If you faced up to the devil and you begin to struggle, look to your left, your right, behind you, above you, somewhere that way of escape is still there. God is watching you, cheering you on, Jesus is stood behind you making sure you don't get KO'd. And the angels are watching in awe as you act like the Child of God you are.
But, fighting is a way to overcoming... not the only way... a way.

Wow, God really just wanted unload a lot there. Sorry its a bit beefy, well, no I'm not sorry, its the word of God, its juicy and good for you... Juicy and beef in the same sentence... oh yeah. But as usual, don't try to digest it all in one, there's a lot of stuff there I've learnt over a good few years... take your time. And remember Ephesians 6 is your wardrobe. On the note of juicy beef, I'm gonna go eat.

(Revelation 20:10) And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of
burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be
tormented day and night for ever and ever

Ladies and Gentlemen... Let me introduce...

A few years ago I met this guy. I'd heard a fair bit about him, heard his name around and about, like you do, ya know... peoples names go before them, you hear stories about them from mates and stuff, basically, you kinda already know them before you know them... get me?
Well, I had the opportunity to meet this guy on a friday night... He was meeting up with a few friends of mine who he'd known for a few years and they'd asked me to come meet him and chill out with him. So I went along eager to meet this guy I'd heard so much about, knowing the stories and reputation he had I already had an idea of what to expect.

This guy was the nicest guy I've ever met. He was fun to be around, one of those people you just relax around and open up to as if you've known them for years. He showed a genuine interest in what I had to say and made my points feel valid... This dude was awesome. I felt confident around him, like I could be open and honest around him and he filled me with confidence, so I could try new things I was too shy to do before... A real bromance brewing haha!

I could see why everyone made such a big deal about this guy. Best guy I had ever met. He then upped his game, and told me about himself, his real self. Turns out this guy was a genuine real real hero. He told me stories of how he'd taken punishments for people, bailed people out, fought for people, given away everything he had and then told me his dad was just the same and absolutely LOVED doing things for his son's friends. He's class his son's friends as his own children, and treat them like his own. WHAT AND WHO IS THIS FAMILY!?

Let me introduce you to this guy... His name is Jesus.

Jesus seems to have been given 2 personalities today... 1) He's a historical dude who died, apparently rose again and sits on a cloud with a white robe, telling people off for being naughty and crying because people don't obey him... and 2) A perfect man who saved me, millions of other and (if you let him) you. He sits on high representing us, listening to us with full attention, drying our tears, bailing us out of troubles, healing us and just loving us with a passionate love. He forgives everyone for anything wrong they've done and takes all the blame on himself so YOU are clean and right before God.

One is biblical, the other isn't. I'll let you decide which one it is.

Jesus is amazing. Not even the words we have come close to his full description. There's a bit in the bible where Jesus appears to a guy in His full glory... all the guy can do is say he looks like this.. like that... as if he was... like.... and then he couldn't help but fall on the ground as though he just died from brain overload. He was astounded by what he saw and couldn't handle it. Jesus in his full glory is.. well... glorious.

Glorious doesn't mean weakness... oh boy... Jesus is strong. Like, REALLY strong. He beat Satan into the ground, pried the keys of death out of Satan's hands and went to take his rightful place at the right hand of God fighting on our behalf. A weak dead man cannot do that.

Also, Jesus isn't just sitting up on his throne looking down shaking his head at everything wrong we do, He's right here, on earth, active and living. Yeah, He's in heaven, but he's here too... er what... contradiction? no. He's got this covered... Holy Spirit, this is your time. Jesus is active and working through the Holy Spirit, through us... (this is another blog topic to come)... Jesus stands with you in trials and hard times, his arm around you, holding your hand keeping you standing, showing you how powerful his love is.

"There's a fourth man standing there in the fire." - Rick Pino (You're not alone)

Jesus is the King. He's the best friend you can have and wish for. He's in heaven. He's standing next to you with open arms. He's been in the grave. He's never been more alive. He has no weakness. You are all he can think about.

As S.M Lockridge puts it...

" My King was born King.
The Bible says He’s a Seven Way King.
He’s the King of the Jews – that’s a racial King.
He’s the King of Israel – that’s a National King.
He’s the King of righteousness.
He’s the King of the ages.
He’s the King of Heaven.
He’s the King of glory.
He’s the King of kings and He is the Lord of lords.
Now that’s my King.
Well I wonder if you know Him. Do you know Him?

Don’t try to mislead me.
Do you know my King?
David said the Heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament show His handiwork.
My King is the only one whom there are no means of measure can define His limitless love.
No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shore of supplies.
No barriers can hinder Him from pouring out His blessing.
Well, well, He’s enduringly strong.
He’s entirely sincere.
He’s eternally steadfast.
He’s immortally graceful.
He’s imperially powerful.
He’s impartially merciful.
That’s my King.
He’s God’s Son.
He’s the sinner’s saviour.
He’s the centrepiece of civilization.
He stands alone in Himself.
He’s august.
He’s unique.
He’s unparalleled.
He’s unprecedented.
He’s supreme.
He’s pre-eminent.
Well, He’s the loftiest idea in literature.
He’s the highest personality in philosophy.
He’s the supreme problem in high criticism.
He’s the fundamental doctrine of proved theology.
He’s the carnal necessity of spiritual religion.
That’s my King.

He’s the miracle of the age.
He’s the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him.
Well, He’s the only one able to supply all of our needs simultaneously.
He supplies strength for the weak.
He’s available for the tempted and the tried.
He sympathizes and He saves.
He’s strong God and He guides.
He heals the sick.
He cleanses the lepers.
He forgives sinners.
He discharged debtors.
He delivers the captives.
He defends the feeble.
He blesses the young.
He serves the unfortunate.
He regards the aged.
He rewards the diligent and He beautifies the meek.
Do you know Him?

Well, my King is the key of knowledge.
He’s the wellspring of wisdom.
He’s the doorway of deliverance.
He’s the pathway of peace.
He’s the roadway of righteousness.
He’s the highway of holiness.
He’s the gateway of glory.
He’s the master of the mighty.
He’s the captain of the conquerors.
He’s the head of the heroes.
He’s the leader of the legislatures.
He’s the overseer of the overcomers.
He’s the governor of governors.
He’s the prince of princes.
He’s the King of kings and He’s the Lord of lords.
That’s my King.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That’s my King.
My King, yeah.

His office is manifold.
His promise is sure.
His light is matchless.
His goodness is limitless.
His mercy is everlasting.
His love never changes.
His Word is enough.
His grace is sufficient.
His reign is righteous.
His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Well.
I wish I could describe Him to you, but He’s indescribable.
He’s indescribable.
Yes.
He’s incomprehensible.
He’s invincible.
He’s irresistible.
I’m coming to tell you, the heavens of heavens cannot contain Him, let alone a man explaining Him.
You can’t get Him out of your mind.
You can’t get Him off of your hands.
You can’t outlive Him and you can’t live without Him.
Well, Pharisees couldn’t stand Him, but they found out they couldn’t stop Him.
Pilot couldn’t find any fault in Him.
The witnesses couldn’t get their testimonies to agree.
Herod couldn’t kill Him.
Death couldn’t handle Him and the grave couldn’t hold Him.
That’s my King.
Yeah.

He always has been and He always will be.
I’m talking about He had no predecessor and He’ll have no successor.
There was nobody before Him and there’ll be nobody after Him.
You cant impeach Him and He’s not going to resign.
That’s my King!
That’s my King!
Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory.
Well, all the power belongs to my King.
We’re around here talking about black power and white power and green power, but it’s God’s power.
Thine is the power.
Yeah.
And the glory.
We try to get prestige and honour and glory for ourselves, but the glory is all His.
Yes.
Thine is the Kingdom and the power and glory, forever and ever and ever and ever.
How long is that?
And ever and ever and ever and ever.
And when you get through with all of the evers, then, Amen."

So, Ladies and Gentlemen... Let me introduce... My best friend, my saviour, my shoulder to lean on and my cause of fun... The one and only, Jesus Christ.
